#Just look at him. He knows what it says on the newspaper’s cover. But he’s just going to try and read it like normal. Like he does everyday. He’s going to be the Iceman about what happened, strong and unfeeling. It almost works until he remembers that it’s mostly his fault. His hands start to shake as he closes the newspaper. In his eyes maybe he thinks it’s all his fault. The Diogenes Club is the only place where he knows no one will ask him about Sherlock or if he’s okay. The only place where he can cry and no one would say a thing but he won’t because….he’s Mycroft Holmes and Mycroft Holmes doesn’t cry.
